At BYU-Idaho, we had a full week off for the Thanksgiving holliday this past year (Thanksgiving 2008). My friends Matt Funk, Bob Christison, Buddhi Ukwaththa and I decided that with our full week off we would go on a road trip accross the country. We drove my little 1993 Honda Accord from Erda to Chicago, to New York, to Washington DC, to Louisville, and back to Erda. We saw some great sites and had some great fun. Here are some of the pictures and highlights:

Bob, me, and Buddhi in front of Wrigley field in Chicago. I lived in Chicago from May to September of 2008 and never got to go to a game. Someday...

Bob, me, and Matt by the giant "jelly bean" thing in Millenium Park in Chicago.

The building in the middle is my favorite building in Chicago; it's called Two Prudential Plaza.

Bob, Matt, Buddhi, and I inside the Foyer of the Manhatten Temple. It was awesome!

This is a picture from the inside of my car as we navigated through Manhatten. We ended up parking in a garage by the temple which cost us some $45 for the session we attended. The rest of the cars in the garage were mostly luxury vehicles. It was funny to see their faces when we pulled in driving a 1993 Honda Accord.

The Lincoln Memorial in DC is inspiring.

The beautiful Washington DC Temple.

Funny enough, we couldn't find any restaurants to eat at on Thanksgiving Day so we ran into the first 7-Eleven we found. I had a hotdog, Cheetos, and a Gatorade for Thanksgiving Dinner.

We made up for our less-than-ideal Thanksgiving dinner the next day by going to Buffalo Wild Wings and eating 75 wings between the 4 of us. It is now one of our favorite places to go.
There are more pictures and many more stories from this adventure not seen here. It was fun, but I think we all were a little tired of driving towards the end of it.
